Great Havahart Trap the Havahart 1079 Live Animal Trap

A couple of weeks ago my kitty cat, Buddy, wanted to come in the house every night. I was not sure what was wrong with him, but I let him in because he is my baby. I noticed the second morning after he had been in that his food that I had left outside was all gone; that made me think, hmm whatever ate his food is probably what is scaring him. I went to my local hardware store and found that they sold havahart live animal traps, so I bought the biggest one that they had because I was not sure what size creature was filling his belly at night with my Buddy's cat food. The name of the one that I purchased was the Havahart 1079 Live Animal Trap.

The box said it was the perfect size to capture armadillos, raccoons, feral or stray cats, woodchucks/groundhogs and other similarly sized animals. I thought wonderful; I'm going to rid my poor little Buddy of this terrifying creature. So, since I already knew what type of bait to use I set the trap on my front porch where I had been keeping my Buddy's food and I made sure to let Buddy in the house that night. At about 1 o'clock AM, I awoke to a horrible cry coming from the live trap on my front porch. I went to inspect and it turns out that it was a huge feral cat that had been scaring my little Buddy. I felt bad for the kitty, but I had to make him stay in there until the next morning when I could take him to the pound. I told him "Hey don't be too upset. I spared your life by using this live trap and I plan to take you where you can be put into a good home and you won't have to be a bully anymore stealing other cat's food." He did not say much back just hissed and growled. Thanks to that great havahart trap my little Buddy stays outside and has been safe and sound so far.

I told my grandpa about this neat contraption and all the critters that it could be used for and he asked if he could borrow it because something kept coming at night and tearing up his garden. It took him a little longer to catch his pest, but a few days later he went to check the Havahart trap and sure enough it did the job for him. Only one little problem, it was a skunk that he had caught! That thing was spraying it's stink left and right. He told me he threw a tarp over it and put the cage and all in his truck and drove it across the county and let that stinky sucker go ruin someone else's garden. I would recommend this Havahart 1079 Live Animal Trap for anyone who is having trouble with fairly large critters, be it a cat eating your cat food, a raccoon in your garbage, a ground hog in your hay field, a possum in your scraps, or a skunk in your garden.
